Surah 2:255 Ayat al-Kursi

...as an english revert to islam , many accuse the brothers and sisters of never having a 'spirituality' or 'emotional' involvement into the being a muslim who freely chooses to submit to God, funnily while pondering over this matter i thought back to my first moments of being a muslims. The moment when i finished saying the shahada, the relief, the pleasure, the contentment from admitting publicly infront of people the Truth that i have found. This sort of situation only comes once to a revert, seeing as this is the first moments of the being a muslim but the feeling comes back often. As for now, i am listening to an audio of a sister coming to Islam and she goes on to recite the ayat al kursi and wow, it came back.

Not only does Islam satify my intelect and make rational sence, it satifies my heart beyong belief. This is why talking to people about the many faiths, i have learnt, never to base it on the emotional attachment we have to the way we are or stuck as; more to work on the intellect and explain things for our minds to say " yes that does make sence but..". this 'but' is the emotions struggling with the sence of the mind so talk to the mind ...soon the heart will change with and follow.

Enough random rambles for now, masalaam everyone.

Surah 2:255

Ayat al-Kursi (The Throne Verse)

Bismillaah ar-Rahman ar-Raheem
Allahu la illaha illa hu
Wal Hayyul Qayyum
La te huzuhu sinetun wala nawmun
Lahu ma fissemawati wa ma fil'ardi
Men thallathiy yeshfe'u indehu illa biznih
Ya'lemu ma beyne eydiyhim
wa ma halfehum
wa la yuhiytune
bishey'in min ilmihi
illa bima sha-a wasia kursiyyuhu semavati wal'ard
Wa la yeuduhu hifzuhuma wa hu wal aliy ul aziym

Saddaqallah hul Azim

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
Allah! There is no God but He,
the Living, the Self-subsisting, the Eternal.
No slumber can seize Him, nor sleep.
All things in heaven and earth are His.
Who could intercede in His presence without His permission?
He knows what appears in front of and behind His creatures.
Nor can they encompass any knowledge of Him except what he wills.
His throne extends over the heavens and the earth,
and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them,
for He is the Highest and Most Exalted.

Allah, the Most High, speaks the truth.

If one recites only a portion of a surah, it is necessary to say at the end of the selection:
*Saddaqallah hul Azim (Allah, the Most High, Speaks the truth.)
